Maritime Trial Lawyer

Lyle C. Cavin Jr. has devoted decades of his legal career to representing seamen, longshoremen, fishermen and others injured in the maritime industry.

His practice has included extensive trial experience in state and federal courts and significant maritime litigation involving the rights of injured workers.

Mr. Cavin earned his J.D. from Golden Gate University School of Law and has participated as a panelist in maritime-law seminars, including a joint American-English American Bar Association meeting in London addressing maritime punitive damages. His published work has addressed subjects including the unseaworthiness doctrine, seamen’s assault claims and pleasure-craft personal injury.

He has served as counsel in significant decisions involving maritime workers and has held leadership roles in trial-lawyer and admiralty organizations.
